I HAWTHORNE HANDICAP ODDS. "With the running of the JEawthorne Handicap, the first big western stake of the year, only two weeks away, speculation as to the winner is becoming brisk and unusual efforts are being put forth to secure a list of probable starters, by those inclined to speculate as to the outcome.
