At post 12 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second easily. Fleuron was off well in motion and showed speed throughout, but was doing her best all through the stretch to stall off First Chip. The latter ran a good race and finished resolutely and the race should improve him. Red Hook finished going fast and outgamed Premus when it came to a hard drive. The latter did his best. Lovable ran poorly and Reed got her away all tangled up. The Pride of Surrey ran away a mile and a half while going to the post. Scratched— 3S296 Chickadee, 107; 3S815Bensonhurst, 105. Won driving; second easily. Commodore raced Esherson and Soufriere to defeat in the first half and had enough left to stall off a sharp challenge from Sararose. The latter finished going fast and would have won in another stride. Cardona ran well and outgamed Soufriere when in the final drive. Esherson bled and was pulled up. Helgerson was very green at the post and shied when the barrier went up. Scratched— 38810 Rainland, 115; 3S763 Requisite, 105. Bad News displayed the most speed all the way, was never in trouble and was only cantering at the end. Lendin finished well and outgamed Incubator in the stretch drive. Advantage was in close quarters next the inside rail for the first three furlongs, came wide at the turn into the homestretch and finished going fast under a hard drive. White Plume -was bumped into and carried wide by Advantage at the stretch turn, but finished fast and gamely under punishment. Sanctum was well ridden. Coburn saved ground all the way and put up a strong finish, but Sanctum tired under him near the end. Prince Silverwings showed great early speed, but quit in the last furlong. Davis waited with him until in the last quarter before making his move, came fast in the stretch run and outgamed Altona in a sharp drive. The latter showed the most early speed and raced Flaneur to defeat, but tired when called on for more effort. Flaneur was doing his best to stall off Rampooza at the end. Rampooza needs a strong rider and Reed was of little help to him. Scratched— 38623 Choice, 109; 38839 Little Duchess H., 107. Overweights — Handcuff, 2 pounds. Binehelio, show, 3 to 5.
