A. Engman. Went to post at 3:04. At post 7 minutes. Start fair. YTon easily; second driving. Lady Chariot showed early speed, but Sceptre cut her off at the three-eighths. She lost nearly ten lengths, then came again and won cantering and was much the best. Betmuda finished going fast after running a bad early race. Rejoice ran well and had no mishaps. Prince Eugene ran to the mark. Sceptre, unfit and high, showed speed and will do better later on. -Kentucky Fox quit badly. Scratched— 38890 Blue Grass Girl, 112; 38793 Can Nell, 109. Hans- / borough was also lucky and ran a good race for him. Chorus Boy is very sore and lame and / ran his race under the circumstances. Blue Sea showed early speed and improved form, but / tired. Charles Ramsey had a rough trip and closed up well when clear in the stretch. Orleans showed early speed, but tired Cherished got off badly. Lord Melbourne tired under pressure in the stretch.
