Won driving; second easily Charley Thompson moved up fast when turning for home and came with a rush at the end and just got up in time to win on the post. Adkins gave Rag Tag a weak finish or he would have won. He came fast in the last eighth and appeared to be winning easily, but Charley Thompsons rush seemed to rattle the jockey. Avoid ran well throughout, but tired palpably in the last hundred yards. Zibia showed much speed, but appeared unable to maintain it over six furlongs. Mimo as usual showed early speed. Uranium was well beaten just before turning for home. Scratched— 39533Muresca, 100; 395G9 Discord, 95; 39505 Gus Lanka, 92. Corrected weights — Uranium, 107. Charley Thompson, show, 7 to 5. Allan-a-Dale simply played with the field, showed great speed throughout and won under mild restraint. Peter J. displayed speed and showed himself a sprinter of fair class. Beau Ormonde came with a rush at the end after making up much ground in the final quarter. Stuyve ran a fair race and is ready to win, especially on a soft or muddy track. Linguist finished resolutely, nipping Old Hutch on the post. The latter finished going fast after making up ground in the last quarter. Federal was caught in the barrier when it was sprung and was knocked out of his stride. He ran a fair race thereafter, but could not overcome the early ground lost. The latter ran a good race, closing up space in the last quarter and finishing fast. Lucien Appleby closed up much ground in the last half mile and was running past horses fast at the end. High Chancellor finished well. Ontonagon tired fast when the pinch came after showing much speed. Schwalbe retired just after turning for home. The Crisis showed some early speed. St. Paris was well beaten when a sixteenth out and was under punishment all through the stretch. Katie Powers appeared to have a winning chance in the last sixteenth, but tired fast in the v closing strides. Gus Heidorn showed early speed, but fell away beaten when turning for home. He ran away three miles after finishing before being stopped. Bonnie Lissak finished going fast, nipping Serge on the post for third place. The latter ran a disappointing race, tiring palpably when the pinch came. Myth showed a little early speed.
