Won easily; second the same. edale was off well in motion, was taken the shortest way around and had things all own way in the last half. Stephen Lillard was well handled, had no mishaps and was d ridden all the way. Penela closed up very fast in the stretch after being outrun in first part of the race. Birch Broom easily shook off On the Quiet in the first half and got second place ■Without trouble. Flora Willoughby did her best. On the Quiet tired badly and also acted Htery badly at the post. June Collins, away poorly, closed a big gap and finished fast. Flora Hooper also made up much ground. Bedlam and Kite met with no mishaps. The former acted badly at the post. Horsa, Helen Oakford and Chanterelle had no chance from where they got off. Scratched— 39501 Fairy Tale, 106. Has Gift, show, 8 to 5. Springwater, show, 4 to 1. June Collins, show, evens.
