Miss Golightly was best in the going, challenged Fleuron in the last sixteenth and outgamed him in the final drive. Fleuron ran well, but tired in the final strides. Satchel did her best and had no mishaps. Prince Light ran a fairly good race. The others were never serious contenders. Rainland, a slow beginner, was off very poorly and ran a remarkably good race, picking up his horses one by one and finishing fast next to the inner rail. Oudon and Ben Adkins fought it out in front all the way and the former outgamed the latter at the end. Ben Adkins showed the most early speed, but tired. Rhyl was a contender all the way. Judge Himes was at home in the going and showed the most speed for the entire trip, but had to be hard ridden all of the last furlong, swerved over in front of Reservation at the furlong post and the latter had to come to the outside. The winner did not interfere with Reservation, however, as the horses were placed as they finished. Reservation did his best and was well ridden. Jack Rattlin was a good horse today and ran his race, but C2U Lot. conce3e the weight. Ben Howard finished fast and caught Harlem Lane tiring at the finish. Edna Shannon showed the most early speed, but tired badly when the pinch came. The others could not gallop freely in the going. Loveliness ran away a mile and a half before the race. Mam-selle made up ground while rounding the far turn and came to the outside in the stretch caught Arachne tiring and outgamed her in a sharp drive. The latter was much used in racing Baffled into submission and tired at the end. Sailors Dream closed a big gap from a poor start and finished fast. Baffled ran fairly well to the stretch, but did not run her race. Easy Trade went well for six furlongs.
