NOTES OF THE TURF. Mose Goldblatt has sold the broken-down mare Brief to George Hendrie for 00. Brief will be sent to the stud, and will probably be bred to Loyalist. Charles Oxx has sold his single bread winner Ascension to Charles F. Fox. The price was not made public. "Winnie" OConnor, the American jockey, has left Paris for the United States. He will return next year and wear the colors of the Rothschilds. J. V. Shipp, of Midway, Ky., has sold to W. L. Lansing, of Harrodsburg, the two-year-old chestnut gelding, Prince Rupert, by Victory Fleeda B., by Billet, for ,000. Milton Young, of McGrathiana Stud, has sold to W. L. Lansing, for a private price the bay yearling filly by Mirthful Jennie J., by Hanover.
