Choice showed the most speed, but was tiring at the end and just managed to last long enough. Barney Burk finished fast and got seconij place without trouble. Moor was oft poorly and closed a big gap, but was swerving at the end. Easy Trade tired in the stretch run. Illuminate ran a fairly good race, Melbourne Eclipse a bad one. Scratched-42745 Jena, 98. The latter came very fast at the finish and was gaining on the winner. Vallarambla ran to her best form. Ethel Scruggs closed a big gap in the last quarter. Drummond ran a good race, but tired when the pinch came. Kilmorie was outrun for the first half, but came fast in the stretch run. Satchel showed speed, but tired. Bud Embry tired from setting the pace. Tancred appeared very sora when going to the post and could not raise an ordinary gallop.
