Won easily; second the same. Florinel U. closed up with a rush when straightened for home and won going away fast. Pickaway developed superior early speed and looked like making a runaway race, but failed stay, tiring, all over at the end. Arthur Ray closed a tremendous gap after getting away badly. Egg Nogg was nearly left and gained twenty lengths on the leaders, finished a close up fourth and may have been best. Handpress is not fit and favors cuppy going. Educate ran well to the stretch, but is a pronounced non-stayer. Overweights Batidor, 2 pounds. Florinel IL, show, evens. Pickaway, show, 3 to 5. Arthur Ray, show, 4 to 5. Winner Br. c, by Atheling Judy trained by M. J. Daly. Went to post at 2:42. At post 5 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second driving. Judge, an improved colt, steadily closed up on his field and, -finishing like a cyclone in the stretch run, won going away. Sol Smith, away well, unexpectedly forced the pace and then failed at the end. Military Man, a superior colt, finished running faster than everything and will make good soon. Padua, on the inside in close quarters in the early running and in the worst going, finished fast and will reverse this running over a longer distance. Floriana Belle liked the footing and ran a good race. Felipe Lugo failed to stay and is evidently of moderate caliber. Ananias got away badly. Scratched 42766 Captain Forsee, 108. Start bad. Won driving; second easily. Man of Honor trailed Prince Blazes closely to the stretch, where he moved up fast and jus.t got home under a good ride. Greenock, particularly favored by the muddy track, was a prominent contender throughout and at the end just failed to get up. Lady Kent tired badly in the stretch run. Buccleuth fell away somewhat in the early running, but finished well. Prince Blazes beat the barrier and forced the pace for six furlongs, after which he tired badly. Dr. Bernays got away slowly and ran unkindly throughout. He can do much better and his recent work has been extra good. Frank Woods was unable to stride fre61y in the going and will make good on a dry track. Scratched 42819 Achilles, 104; 23440 Bright Moon, 101. Schwalbe, a superior mud runner, got away in the lead and won all the way easily, stalling off Princess Titania and Albula in the stretch run. Princess Titania, a high-class filly, was the only serious contender, running gamely in going not to her liking. Albula held a forward position throughout and, after looming up dangerously a furlong out, failed to stay in the closing strides. Ink, after getting away badly, closed a big gap. Muresca is evidently in poor form. Ishtar looks good and ran as if short, but is out of place in sprints and will be heard from. Overweights Muresca, 3 pounds. Schwalbe, show, out. Albemarle, lucky and in a good position in the early running, came along fast and wore the leaders down in the stretch, winning in the last stride. Bay Wonder practically forced the pace throughout and was caught napping in the last stride. Mildred Schultz had no mishaps and after showing speed tired in the stretch run. U. steadily improved his position, finished fast and is strictly a mudlark. Dungannon held a forward position to the stretch, where she moved up fast, only to tire unexpectedly in the closing strides. Invlctus went a good six furlongs before he retired and favors mud.
