NOTES OF THE TURF. D. B. M., St. Louis. When a horse named in a parlay bet is scratched it becomes void as to that horse and remains in force as to the others. In the case quoted, the parlay was in effect a straight bet on one horse and should be paid as such, subject to the bookmakers limit. Carpe Diem, Chicago. The odds quoted were as receied and are correct. Betting odds in any ring do not follow ironclad lines, but reflect the volume of money offered and accepted. Jockey Alter, suspended at Latonia in 1902 for a questionable ride on Two Lick, was reinstated yesterday by Judge Price. R. Bros., Chicago. Little Rock track is in good standing.
