Won handily; second easily Lora J. was lucky at the start and, off well in motion, paced the field steadily for the first five furlongs and, although tiring in the stretch run, responded to a mild hand ride and stood off the determined challenge of Idle. The latter ran a cracking good race, followed the leader closely and persistently hung to the winner during the stretch run, only to falter in the closing strides. Eleata ran in improved form. Lyrist ran close up for the first half, but swerved badly in the stretch run. Lida Leib ran an unaccountably dull race and her performance was far below her recent form. Lora J., show, 3 to 5.
