Demurrer is a quick breaker and opened up a gap on the turn, which the others could not overcome. Blue and Orange was in a good position all the way and was hard ridden in the stretch, but could not get up. Many Thanks was much used in racing with the winner and tired in the stretch. Wager ran well, improves with each race and is worth remembering. Neither One finished very fast and her race is the best she has shown in some time. Eloim was crowded back on the first turn. Oclawaha ran a fast middle quarter and his race was a good one. Dramatist got off poorly. There was some crowding on the first turn and Princess Tulane went down. Hunter was outrun in the first part of the race, but came around his field on the stretch turn and had to be hustled to get to the front, but had something left at the end. Ganan-ogue, a consistent colt, got off none too well, but ran a good race and ougamed Blytheness in the final drive. The latter was used up in racing with Lady Mirthful and both tired in the final hundred yards. Woodshade was a sharp contender for nearly a half mile. Bur-dette was poorly handled. Mimon quit badly. To San ran a poor race. Scratched 42880 Pompano 107; 42897 Master Prim, 107; 42S44 Toi San, 104; 42898 My Alice, 104; 42916 Tide, 104. Corrected weights Mimon, 99. Overweights Mimon, 2 pounds. Romanelli rode a strong finish on The Guardsman, which was apparently beaten when a furlong from home, but hung on gamely under a drive and outlasted Monograph. The latter seemingly had the race won in the last hundred yards, but tired right at the end. Rightful showed speed and was a contender all the way. Warranted closed a big gap in the stretch after having been outrun early. Stonewall finished fast. Satire weakened when it carne to a drive after showing more speed than usual. Pittacus improves with each race, ian well and had speed enough left to stall off Miladi Love after he had raced Our Nugget into submission. Miladi Love came around the field in the stretch and finished with a great rush and would have won in a few more strides. Harrison also put up a fine stretch run. Pipe ran a fine race, but was probably a trifle short. Our Nugget showed speed, but does not seem able to last. Hymettus quit badly after being a sharp contender. Sam Craig had a big pull in the weights, showed plenty of speed, raced Mrs. Frank Foster into submission and had enough left in the final sixteenth to stall off River Pirates rush. River Pirate,, seemingly anchored by his weight in the first part of the race, closed up fast at the end, but could not quite get up.
