NOTES OF THE TURF. John Bundy has purchased The Goldfinder from Wells and Co. and will race him in California this winter. E. A. Craven promises to be on the turf again next year with a string of jumpers. Black Death is the latest addition to the string. Jim Williams about December 10 will ship his string from Latonia to San Francisco. It is his idea not to start anything until, after February 1, however. He will send Proof Reader for the Burns Handicap, try to pick up a stake or two with him at Los Angeles and then drop Into New Orleans for the Crescent City Derby. L
