"-7T WESTERN JOCKEY CLUB ACTION. The annual meeting of the members of the "Western Jockey Club was held on Monday, December 7, 1903. The meeting: was called to order, and upon inotion, duly seconded, George G. Perkins -acted as Chairman. The minutes of the annual meeting of 1902 were read and approved. Upon motion, duly seconded, Messrs. C. S. Bush, A. S. Cella, and M. Nathanson were elected to the Board of Stewards for a period of two years. The report of the Treasurer was read and approved and ordered filed. The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Stewards was held on Monday, December 7, 1903. Upon motion, duly seconded, George G. Perkins was elected temporary chairman. Election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Lawrence A. Young, Chairman. George G. Perkins, Vice Chairman. James Howard, Treasurer. Harvey T. "Woodruff, Secretary and Forfeit Clerk. On motion, duly seconded, is was ordered that a committee of three be appointed by the chairman to report on rules at the January meeting. The chairman named Messrs. Nathanson, Howard and Cella, with the Secretary an ex-officio member, as members of this committee. Upon motion, duly seconded, the following resolution was adopted: Rule 104 does not preclude new engagements made under reopening for entries for stake races, and all nominations to the "Worlds Fair Handicap at the St. Louis Fair Association made April 1, 1903, and thereafter declared out are eligible to re-enter at re-opening for entries of February 1, 1904. On motion, duly seconded, the application of the Jackson Park Jockey Club of Chicago for racing dates was denied. On motion, duly Seconded, the application of the Union Jockey Club of St. Louis for racing dates was denied. On motion, duly seconded, the application of the Joliet Driving Club of Joliet for racing dates was denied. No action, was taken on the application of the Hot Springs Jockey Club for racing dates, because of the unsatisfactory and incomplete condition of the racing plant at this time. No application for racing dates was received from the Detroit Jockey Club. Upon motion, duly seconded, the following allotment of racing dates for the season of 1904 was recorded: Crescent City Jockey Club, January 1 March 12. New Louisiana Jockey Club, March 14 March 19. Arkansas Jockey Club, March 21 March 26. New Memphis Jockey Club, March 28 April 20. Kinloch Breeders; Association, April 15 May 20. Tennessee Breeders Association, April 21 April 30. Worth Jockey Club, April 27 May 20. New Louisville Jockey Club, May 2 May 18. Latonla Jockey Club, May 19 June 11. Chicago Jockey Club, May 21 June 3. Delmar Jockey Club, May 21 June 10. Harlem Jockey Club, June 4 June 17. St. Louis Fair Association, June 11 September 3. Kansas City Jockey Club, June 13 July 4. Washington Park Club, June 18 July 16. Chicago Jockey Club, July 18 July 30. Harlem Jockey Club, August 1 August 13. Highland Park Club, August 6 September 3. Chicago Jockey Club, August 15 August 27. Harlem Jockey Club, August 29 September 12. Delmar Jockey Club, September 5 October 31. Chicago Jockey Club, September 13 September 24. Harlem Jockey Club, September 26 October 3.
