ACTION ON LICENSES. Pursuant to a recess taken in the afternoon the Stewards of the "Western Jockey Club held an evening session Monday, December 7, 1903. Applications for reinstatement were read and the following persons and horses were restored to good standing: L. McGrail, owner. J. Schwarzendahl, owner; W. Bruns, jockey, and the horse Napoleon Bonaparte conditional, on payment of outstanding forfeit. The Wizard, property of John B. Horst-man. Quincy, property of Louis Nobel. Ravensbury, property of Early and Daniel. Wyola, property of Woodford and Everman. Other applications for reinstatement of persons and horses were passed to the next meeting. Licenses granted: Trainers Charles Cochran, Lon Gray, C. F. Robbins, A. G. Woodman. Jockeys George Ahearn, H. Cochran, P. Sinclair, A. H. Thompson, C. Verplanck. Apprentices H. Cheatham a, J. E. Cochran, John Conway a, S. Greenfield a, Robert W. Imes a, Robert Johnson a. W. J. Kelly a, James Lee a, Harry Mason, Leo Pottering a, Fred Savage, John Sperling a. a Apprentice allowance. Apprentice Allowances Granted E. C. Stone. The following applications for licenses were passed for future action: Trainers Percy Gilbert, W. Harden, Frank Lightfoot, Harold Lightfoot. The following applications for licenses were held up for cause: Trainers Frank Leigh. Apprentices T. Barnes, George Bullman, Martin Lynch, L. L. Sherwood. The following applications for licenses were denied: Trainer F. E. Bradbury. Upon motion, duly seconded, the license previously granted to trainer George W. Hazzard was withdrawn. The report of J. W. Price, Official Steward of the Highland Park Club meetings, was received and ordered filed. The following hospital and physicians bills for service to injured jockeys were ordered paid: Dr. C. L. Stewart-Tockey F. J. Hall, 5; Jockey Castro, 5. St. Elizabeth Hospital Jockey Wilson, 0.72; Jockey Heider, 6.44; Jockey A. Songer, 4.29. Drs. H. F. Wilson and B. J. Mayer Jockey A. Songer, 5; Jockey G. Wilson, 0; Jockey Heider, 0; Jockey S. Peters, 0; Jockey D. Brazil, 5; Jockey D. Baldwin, ; Jockey R. Slater, ; Jockey Mc-Clure, ; Jockey McHugh, ; Jockey Archibald, ; Jockey H. Wilson, ; Bormann and Deike, ambulance service, 2. On the application of Jockey C. Bell to be released from his contract with D. F. Cox, no action was taken on the showing made. The secretary was directed to issue a forfeit order for 0 against M. L. Hayman in favor of John Fay. The meeting adjourned.
