NEW ORLEANS GOSSIP. Several stables arrived Monday from Ben-nings. Dick Bauer got in with Monograph, Hymettus. Peeper, Charlie Fisher, Komombo, Harmakis, Bouridling and Arthue. The last four are two-year-olds. J. J. Mackessey sent Eclectic and Extralaw; H. Morrlssey, with Julia M.; R. Baker, with Briery; J. W. Pangle, with Mrs. Frank Foster and eight others. Among the jockeys were: Callahan, P. Boiesen, E. Walsh, Mulholland, Treubel, Crimmihs, J. OBrien and Pieratt. Jockey Romanelli will be here in a few days. He left Bennings for Detroit Saturday night, where he was called to sign some papers in connection with the Farley-Aimless-Sarah Black ringing case. Starter Fitzgerald, in his endeavors to perfect his new system of starting, has found it necessary to discipline many of the jockeys riding at New Orleans. Monday he fined B. Davis, Cochran, C. Jenkins, Mclntyre, Sinclair, W. Fisher, J. Hennessy, H. Phillips, Iiivingston and McCafferty. Besides imposing fines he suspended Troxler, Aubuchon, Crawford, Hicks, Iiivingston. and Helgesen for three days. If the starter keeps up this gait there will be no boys left to ride in the races. Mose Goldblatt has added another horse to the string he is racing at the Fair Grounds in the five-year-old mare Lovable. He purchased the latter Monday of George Rowe.
