Montezuma came fast through the stretch and won going away. Tender Crest closed up considerable ground and finished well under a good ride. Gondolus ran a fairly good race and outstayed James J. Hot rau a good race and Mulshed gamely under the whip. Chickadee was far back in the early stages and came through the stretch with a rush when it was too late, lyrrho ran a surprisingly good race.
