April Shower got off well back and had to work his way up on the outside, raced around the leaders on the far turn and took command when entering the homestretch, but had to be ridden out at the end to stall off Gilfaiu. Tlie latter lost ground when entering the homestretch by making a wide turn, but finished fast and gaining. Immortelle ran well, but tired under punishment. Azelina closed a big gap. Alcantara showed early speed, but tired in the stretch. Oddoletta was as good as left, but made up much ground and ran X winning race. Royal Legend ran poorly and is in bad form. Colloquy, showing decided improvement, broke from the outside and rushed around his opponents in the run to the stretch turn, caught Lens tiring in the stretch and outgamed him when it came to tlie deciding drive. - Tie lattery-got away- fust-and-set a terrific, pace.- but-the effort-told on him in the last sixteenth. Flyiug Rain Clwud ran in close company with Conclave until after taking the ninth jump, when he opened up a good lead, but had to be hard ridden at the end to stall off Judge Nolan and fairly scrambled over the last Jump. Judge Nolan moved up witli a rush when going to the last jump and then tired. Trourere went in, Improved form, but tired in the last sixteenth. Conclave was eased up at the end. Quinn Brady, after being reserved to tlie stretch, caught Don Fonso tiring in the last furlong and was going away at the end. Don Fonso was much used in racing Nutwood into retirement and had nothing loft when tins, winner challenged. Minnie Adams dropped to the" rear early in the race and came very wide when entering the homestretch, then finished fast and her race should be thrown out. The latter finished fast and gamely under a drive after going to the outside when entering tlie homestretch. Tarp showed the most early speed; but failed to stay the route and can do better. Marlin sulked when the start came ami dropped back In tlie first quarter, then made up fully a dozen lengths. Belden ran poorly. Felix Mozzes wore Auroceiver down while rounding the far turn, but the fast pace told 011 him lu tlie last sixteenth and he tired. Auroceiver showed great speed for the first half, but tired lu the stretch run. Nattie Bumpuo ran a remarkably bad race. Scratched OOOOlMint Sauce, 109.
