Prince Magnet was u prominent contender throughout, despite journeying in the deep going next to the rail under an injudicious ride. Golden Sunrise, away badly, closed a big gap. The Lieutenant, shutlled to the rear on the first turn, moved up rapidly in the last half and finished a fast going third and probably was short Dargin bumped his way into the lead on the first turn and made the running for six and a half furlongs, then tired badly. Byronerdale. given an easy ride, finished with a belated rush after running hopelessly wide on the last turn. Lone Wolf favors a sticky track.
