This was the motive for proposing an extension of five days here, but the stewards came to the conclusion that It was best to let a good thing alone. The meeting has been the most successful in the history of racing in the northwest, and . the stewards considered that It was due the public and outside horsemen to close the meeting as originally announced by the association.
