Won driving; second the same. Foxmead got away In his stride and set a fast pace, raced Transmigration and Ireland into subjection and fought It out gamely all through the last eighth with Operator. The latter, always in keen contention, forced the winner to do his best at the end. Rubalyat began slowly, but finished fast. Ireland showed speed, but tired from trving to keep pace with the winner. Gracchus was outrun In the early stages, but came fast in the stretch, caught the leaders tiring anc won going away. Charles L. Stone raced Hazel Patch into subjection, but tired in the final drive. Tanager rah well and was in the deep going along the inner rail. Hazel Patch showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretch run. Eva Iser showed a flash of speed, then quit. Jim Beattie ran forwardly throughout and raced Orfeo Into subjection, but tired in tne stretch rail. Orfeo set a fast pace for three-quarters and tired badly in the last sixteenth, but held the others safe for third place. Knowledge had no chance after the start and was sharply cut off on the first turn. Winchester showed speed for three-quarters. Bisque made up ground from a bad beginning. Salvisa, cut off in the first quarter, went to the outside and could never overcome the advantage of the winner, but held the others safe at all stages. Prince of Orange began slowly, but made up a big gap In the stretch run and finished gamely. Sweet Kitty showed speed. Cut tired from chasing the winner and quit badly in the last quarter. Secret had no mishaps, ran forwardly throughout and was driving at the end to stall off the rush of Embarrassment. The latter trailed until on the far turn, then moved up, but failed to get to the leaders and can do much better.
