CH0LK HEDRICK WINS ALL AGE HANDICAP. Solon Shingle Improperly Ridden Oratorian Goes Lame and Causes New Book to Be Made. Detroit, Mich., September 5. The feature of the card at Windsor today was the handicap for all ages at a mile and a sixteenth. Cholk Hedrick was Installed the favorite and he justified the confidence placed In him. Solon Shingle, with a better ride, would have won. Dealy did not persevere with his mount and the favorite nipped him at the finish and won by a nose. W. J. Young has sold to L. E. Shinbarger, the three-year-old filly Galetta, by George Kessler Court Dance for a private consideration. She will be raced In the "bushes." Edward Corrigan arrived today from Louisville and will remain several days. His horses will race during the remainder of the Windsor meeting, then lie shipped to Toronto where they are liberally entered in the stakes. Oratorian, while being warmed np for the sixth race, pulled up lame and Judge Price excused him, declaring all bets off and twenty minutes for a new book.
