Grace Larseu, favored by the goiug and running in improved form, showed the most speed and was never in danger of defeat, winning eased to a canter. Montalban ran forwardly from the start, but tired in the last quarter. Princess Marie had to be hard driven to last it out for third place. Wee Kittv came fast at the end after closing a big gap. Easy Street, away forwardly, followed the early leader closely, got to the best going in the stretch and. finishing gamely, won well in hand. Nona W., away slowly and In a tangle, showed much speed and-quickly opened a long lead, but tired near the end. Lady Lavish, knocked back at the start and going around the others, closed a big gap. and finished with a rush. Marpessa helped to force the pace for the first half and was in the worst going through the stretch run. LIghtbum tired In the last quarter. The Englishman trailed the others far back in the early running, but moved up fast after going a half and, despite being in the worst going, won with plenty in reserve. Celeres showed a high order of speed for the first three-quarters, but tired in the stretch drive. Amberita, badly handled, ran far below her best form and can do much better. Ara appeared sore when going to the post, but ran a good race, tiring slightly in the final drive. Tarp ran poorly. San Primo tired after forcing the pace for the first three-quarters. Martha Gorman ran an excellent race and had to be much the best to win, was in a pocket most tf the way and, when going well in the stretch, Wishard went to his whip and, in doing so, almost fell off. Excitement broke fully In motion and, showing the most speed, would have won but for swerving in the last sixteenth. Devout ran well and was in the worst going throughout the stretch. Don Doino tired after going three-quarters. Sir Russell failed to show much speed and ran a poor race. La Londe would not extend herself fully after being bumped into at the start and is best on a dry track. Oamille, going wide most of the way, finished fast and was overhauling Beautiful Mayo for second nhice. .Taeomo began slowly, but saved ground when turning into the stretch and finished with a rush and will improve. ONeill suffered from interference in the first half, but came fast when clear and was wearing the winner down at the end. Haughty ."bowed the most early speed, but tired badly after going a half. Kloinwood began slowlv, lint came fast through the stretch and will improve. Daring ran a fairly good race and showed improvement. Intense had a rough trip and can do much better. Bauposal. taken wide in the stretch, tired fast from early efforts. Henry Watterson appeared to sulk after going a half and came again near the end. Redcoat quit in the stretch.
