PONY MATCH FOR ,000 IS POSTPONED. New York. October 1!. The pony match race for $.i.l!0lt a side scheduled for tomorrow at Belmont Park between Elliot Cowdins Orton Dobbie and S. Osgood Pells Maud Mangum has been postponed owing to the death of Mr. Cowdins sister-in-law. The race will take place on the opening day at Aqueduct and promises to be a fast and close one. Both these ponies have made the quarter in 22? seconds. The odds offered on the Stock Exchange , are 7 to 5 on Orton Dobbie, owing to the fact that Miller has the mount. Paul Ralney offered Radtke to Mr. Pell, but he cannot tfide at 100 pounds, so rather than carry an extra weight Mr. Pell has engaged Finn to ride Maud Manguni.
