JOCKEY NARROWLY ESCAPES DROWNING. Cincinnati, O., October 24. While schooling Dalesman over the steeplechase course at Latonia this morning jockey Slaughter was almost drowned -by being thrown Into the ditch at the water jump. The rider was stunned by the fall.
