Field Lark ran a good race for a first out in a long time and was right there throughout. King Pepper, away slowly and going wide most of the way, finished going fast. The Thrall ran well to the stretcli and will improve. Toboggan, away poorly,, ran into a contending position in the first half, but tired badly in the stretch. Emma V-..was lucky . throughput and, saving much ground on the turn, came fast after going a quarter and, standing a hard drive through the last furlong, finished drawing clear. Buren Arnold showed the most early speed and only lost because of Nicol forcing Hattie Rodman to go wide into the stretch, thereby losing much .ground for his mount. Venoto came fast through the stretcli and ran a good race. Callta closed a big gap from a poor beginning and would have been a sharp factor with a better send-off. Skimmer ran fairly well, Hattie Rodman showed speed, but tired fast after suffering from interference. Scratched C51.r5sNedra, 112; 05155 Frances J., 105. Mcllvaln, running to his best form and lucky in escaping interference, followed the early pace closely and, going gamely in the stretcli, wore down Joe Coyne In the last furlong, although swerving slightly, and won going away. Joe Coyne, away well and taking the lead on the first turn by cutting off close followers sharply, led unextended for the drtt three-quarters, .then tired ami pinned Tartan against the inner rail, which gave "him second place. Tartan, probably best, suffered much from Interference and, with a better judged ride, would have wen. Auditor tired after going three-quarters.
