ASCOTS FUTURE IN THE BALANCE. Los Angeles, Cal., November 12. Today the voters of Los Angeles and the territory It is sought to annex, are deciding the future of Ascot Park. Should the annexation bill be carried in the city and proposed territory that includes Ascot Park, the latter will become a part of the city and racing will be doomed. It is almost sure the city vote will favor the scheme, but strong opposition prevails in the country districts and the Ascot people look to these districts to defeat the bill. The result will probably not be announced until tomorrow. George Rose arrived last night. He goes to San Francisco Wednesday to be present on the opening, day at Oakland.
