Nedra got away well and ran to her best form and, lasting better than usual, outstayed the others in the tlnal drive. Bonnie Kate closed a big gap and but for being in close quarters in the last furlong would "have won. Spider Web was taken wide most of the way and ran a good race, but tired slightly in the final drive. E lancer showed Improved form and was right there for the first half. Vlpsania tired after going Ave furlongs. Veneto ran fairly well. The start affected many of the rear division. Scratched 65402 Intaglis, 100. Field Lark, hard ridden and running to ner best form, moved into a contending position from the start and, standing a hard drive with rare gaineness, outstayed Red Thistle in the final struggle. The latter ran a good race and was a sharp factor from the start. Nuns Veiling, also showing improvement and the most speed early, set the pace steadily for the first half, but tired in the stretch. Roseboro closed a big gap from a poor beginning and finished with a rush. Layson had a rough trip. Minnehaha had to overcome a lot of interference and can do much better. Tsara tired in the final drive after being a close contender to the stretch turn. Inspector Girl ran poorly. Scratched 65404 Happy Jack II., Ill; 65437 Allista, 109. St. Noel, probably best, was an active contender from the start and, finishing fast and gamely when called on sharply in the stretch run, wore down the leaders and won drawing away. Lord Dixon, showing sudden Improvement and well meant, came from a long way back in the stretch and finished with a rush. Olcasa was speedy, but tired after seeming to be a sure winner in the final furlong. Red Raven showed improved form and tired in the final drive. Stella Eichburg ran fairly well. Lexbline, probably best and hard ridden, closed a big gap in the first quarter and, following the leader steadily, stood a hard drive gamely and outstayed Arion in the final strides. The latter was away running, showed improved form and the most early speed and only tired in the final strides and then because of excessive usage in the first half. Crafty ran a good race and finished with a rush. Zlpano had no mishaps. Electorine ran fairly well and was right there in the early stages. Water Lake also ran a good race. Gauze showed improved form. Lieutenant Rice was poorly; handled and can do much better under a good rider. Arabo tired fast after going a half. Moccasin Maid was timidly ridden and had scant chance. Queen Caroline tired all over after going a good three-quarters. Amberlta ran a poor race.
