MIKE DALY IS TURNED DOWN. New Orleans. La.. January 24. — An application was received today at the office of the Crescent City Jockey Club from M. J. Daly asking permission to race at the Fair Grounds. After communicating with the oilicials of the Ontario Jockey Club at Toronto, this permission was denied. Daly was notified at Toronto in 1998 that lie could not again obtain stable room at that track. The action of the officials here is rather surprising, inasmuch as Daly was allowed to race on the tracks of the second circuit in the east last year, and Judge Bryan, who now rules against him, was at that time one of the racing. officials.
