OF INTEREST TO OWNERS. Memphis. Tenn., February 4.— In the suit of B. C. Brien, past owner of Kercheval, against the Western Union. Telegrawi Company, Juaga McAl lister of the Supreme Court, handed down a derision bidding the company liable for damages for failure to deliver a message from an owner to a trainer in time to procure the withdrawal of a horse from a selling raee. Mr. Brien based his suit on the fact that he had wired his trainer at Louisville to witbdraw his horse. The trainer did not get the meaaasje in time to withdraw and the owner lost his bene under Hie rules governing selling races. W. V.
