Rose Hart closed a big gap, but tired in the last Xutlong. Sir Vagrant was sharply interfered with on the stretch turn while in a contending i ositio!i. Miss Cesarion allowed the- most early speed, but stumbled on the stretch turn and almost caused a spill. Hawkatna was awarded back after going a qnarter. Tin- winner was entered for S400; no bid. Frank Lubbock, away well, showed the moat early apeed and raced Tennybnrn into subjection, but tired near the end. Dr. Hart, shuttled back soon after the start, had to close a big gap and finished going t::ser than the trade ra. Sambo ran .1 good rare for him and was close up all the way. Tennvburrt tired East after going three -quarters. Percy Green showed speed, but tired iu the last quartet;. The winner was entered for $:; M : no bid. Mike Sutton set a fast pace in the early stages, tint swerved badly when Shilling applied the whip, then finished gamely under a hard hand ride and but for swerving would have won. I.iaden showed improvement and finished fast after ovetcomins early interference. Ralhert was exi t ■liely used in the early stages and tired badly in the last furlong. Flip set a fa»t pace from the start, but lired ! slightly in the closing drive. Jake Sauders appeared sore when going to the poet, bat ran fairly well and bad no mishaps. Shenandoah quit badly in the last quarter. Demo was poorly ridden and showed speed i for the first half. Jack Lory had no mishaps. The winner was eutere*l for »o; 110 bid. Bendigo, a distant trailer in the early stages, moved up with a rush after going a mile and was going gamely at tlje end. Match, poorly handled and taken wide most of the way, ran a good race. Aggie Lewis had no mishaps. Grosgrain showed much speed for the first mile, but tired badly in the last half. J. P. Mayberry ran poorly and can do much better. Helgerson ran below expectations. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched — C.724S Florizel, :9. Overweights — Big Bow, 1 pottud.
