NOTES OF THE TURF. Ttaeaees is at Cnivesend. Several of the two-year-olds belonging to L. A. Cella are sick at Memphis. The latest from Los Angeles Is that the baa Angeles Jockey Club will be able to arrange matters so that a meeting can be held at Ascot Park next winter. Merry Wafer, the twoyear-old bay Ally, by Bridgewater — Miss Mary, in the stable of Woodford Clay at Lexington, worked a half mile in 481 Monday morning. Frank Taylor is handling Action and the two-year-olds Lady Hildreth and Ruth Taylor at Gravesend for Sam Hildreth. The horses arrived from California last week. All of that "forwardness" of the eastern horses, about which the New York papers have been chattering lor a month or so, appears, from the results of the past two days at Aqueduct, to he ou the waiting list,
