Titus II. decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed his oppouents. winning all the way with plenty in reserve. Speaker Fontana. away poorly, closed up steadily and finished a fast coming second on the laxtde and is improving. Bell Reed, fresh and apparently good, was well up throughout and a fast going third. Sharp Boy was always well up. Woodthorpe. shuttled to the rear from a Hatfooted start, clo-fd a big gap in the last half. Instructor finished with a belated rush. Smithy Kane again .failed to stay. Red Reynard broke in the lead and set the pace to the last couple of strides, where the winner got up on the inside un perceived. Michael Mulvaney, forced out of position at the half, closetl up much ground and finished fast. Lucrece tired finally after running lapped on the pacemaker to the last sixteenth. Kalph Young ran prominently for six furlongs and then retired. .Toyner displayed moderate early speed and quit as if short. The Lieutenant is big and high. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. Kogo. crowded to the rear at the start, closetl M steadily on the outside and finished like a cyclone. Alta Spa broke slowly on the inside and was in • ehwe quarters in the early running. loomed up menacingly in the strttch and was tiring right at the end. Bevel Bells, crowded back on the first turn, closet! ■ big gap and loomed up in the last sixteenth but tired right at the end. Royal Maxim, nearly left, closed an immense gap. and is a stayer. Bon Yivant from a strkiing start made the running for nearly seven furlongs before he tired. Bog urn showed slight improvement and is difticult to ride. Louise Fitzgibbou was crowded to the rear in the first quarter. The winner was entered for 8600; no bid. Overweights — Royal Maxim. 1 pound; Tetanus. 2; Louise Fity.gibbon. 1: George K Jibuti. 2. John C. Graus outbroke and outpaced the others decisively for seven furlongs but tired in the last few strides. Midmont ran prominently and gamely all the way. Ronar. away poorly, closed a big gap into a fast going fifth. Fastoso. knocked to the rear at the start, was gaining in the last half. Darthula was a prominent contender fdr six. furlongs. Judge Nelson helped force the pace In the face of a stiff wind and at the end was crowded back by the winner and ran a game race. Kokomo set the pace to the final sixteenth, where he was crowded to the fence by Bedford and forced to pull up. Edwin T. Fryer got away badly and closed a pig gap.
