It was a procession apparently throughout but it was so dark the colors could not be distinguished, except at a near poinl of view. Yorkist was always in close pursuit and finished fast. Water Tank was lucky Bad going well at the tinish. The others were far back a I the end and badly strung out. The winner was entered for ,500; n bid. TheraaMar ran a good race and tinished fast, but was no match for the winnc Lady Winifred closed a big gap and finished like a shot. Smirker weal well and finished gamely. Btta Louise was lucky and always in closest pursuit of the leaders and gamely outstayed Sussex for second place. The latter closed a big gap from a slow beginning and finished with a rush. Thomas Calhoun was close up and going fast at the finish. Iaul Fry ran fairly well only. Ben Cole was off poorly and made up considerable ground. The winner was entered for .,000: no bid. Dolly Spanker was well ridden and always close up, caught Beauclere tiring in the stretch and took second place in the last few strides. Beaticlere showed the most early s|M.,.,| *ad set the pace fast, but tired at the end. The Quail showed early speed, but was not ready and tired when driven. Ll Dorado showed much the most early speed, but failed to stay. Chief Hayes was speedy, but tired from chasing BB Dorado. Reidmoore and Samuel H. Harris ran disappointingly and both can do-better.
