Ed Kane, showing much Improved form in the going and favored at the start, followed the early leaders close up ind, linishing with a rush through the last furlong, won in the linal stride. Darling Dan. also showing improved form, wore down Royal Chance under a hard drive, but tired near the end. Royal Chauce broke from an outside position, showed a high order of speed and, taking a long lead in the first quarter, seemed a certain winner, but tired near the end as if short. Major Mack had no mishaps. Rexall ran poorly and was away in a tangle. Separator was knocked back after going a few strides. High Binder was poorly handled. Ilusted, running to his best form aud showing a liking for the gOIug, raced forwardly to the half, where he wore down the leaders and, standing the final drive gamely, won going away. Little George, in the worst going throughout, put up a good performance ami stayed well in the linal drive. Blaze oLight ran well, had no mishaps and was not good enough. Dr. McCarty was prominent most of the way. Hyperbole closed a big gap from a slow beginning. Young Stevens would have been a sharp contender witli good handling, was taken to the extreme outside rail In the stietch and finished with a rush. Agnolo showed the most early speed, but failed to stay. The winner was entered for" 00; no bid. Katherine Murphy, away fast and favored by the muddy going, showed the most sieeil ami, standing a bard drive at the end, lasted just long enough. Stone Street, probably best, was away slowly, but moved up resolutely after going a quarter and, despite going wide, was wearing the wiuncr down at the end. Lady Flora, poorly ridden and in the worst going, ran a good race and was a prominent factor all the way. Colonel Brady tired at the end. Margaret Randolph can do much better. Greiuse. away in a tangle and poorly ridden, was allowed to run through the worst going in the last three furlongs. Hazel M. suffered from interference and will show improvement. Henry O. ran a good race and was a close up second throughout. Small Lady came from a long way back in the stretch and finished gamely. Gambler and Incubator tired fast after going a half. Redcoat ran fairly well. Swiftwiug and Horseradish ran poorly and were never prominent at any stage. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Proteus, well ridden and favored by his light impost and the track, forced a stiff pace in the early stages, took the lead when called on anil won with plenty in reserve. Rebouniler, showing suddenly improved form, ran a good race and outstayed the iworly handled Tinker. The latter was-protiably lest, ran well and would have won with a competent rider. Devout ran fairly well and wns a sharp factor for the first three-quarters. Beniligo ran poorly. Scalplock and Sultry were distant trnllers all the way. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
