The latter had no mishaps, saved ground on the turns, but c.aid not quite reach the winner. Etreua ran iu improved form. Tim Hurst showed speed, but tired earl , Ilerry George bled. Fantastic was well ridden and saved from the early pace, saved ground on the turns, moved up with a rush after being straightened out for the stretch run, caught Denham in the last sixteenth and won going away. Denham raced Charlie Eastman into defeat and easily held second place safe. Charlie Eastman bad no contention for third place. Prolific bad no chance after the start. The latter, off badly, was compelled to go the" long route, but moved up fast under punishment and finished resolutely. Melange came fast in the run through the stretch.
