Paul Pry, well up with the leaders and on the inside all the way, finished resolutely under the whip and outstayed Thomas Calhoun in the final drive. The latter broke slowly and ran on the outside, closed a big gap and linished last. John 1. Bergen was carried wide at every turn. Bayardo was speedy, but Tailed to stay. Etta Louise finished fast. Prince of Orange was made too much use of in fcettlng the early pace and racing Cyclops into defeat, hut was easily second best. Racincttc ran well, but was tiring at the end and under a hard drive to stall olT Friendship. The latter finished well. John T. Rogers was carried very wide on the turn into the homestretch.
