FIRESTONE AT TOP FOR WINGED FOOT. New York, August 1. In apportioning the weights for the Winged Foot Handicap at six furlongs which Is to be decided Saturday, the closing day of the Brighton meeting, Mr. Vosburgli gave Tliomns II. Williams little colt Firestone top weight of 12S pounds. Tliis unusual honor caused horsemen to gasp with astonishment. The giant Chapultepec got 127 and Meelick 125 pounds. Barney Schreibers Seymour Beutler is in at 112, Hessian at 100 is leniently treated. Seventy-seven two-year-olds aro utill eligible.
