Colloquy ran Into a commanding lead and set the pace fast all the way, but was tiring at the finish and barely lasted long enough.. Goldproof quickly got inlii close pursuit of the ll.ving leader and, in a game effort, was wearing her down at the end and would have won in a stride or two more. Diamond closed a big early gap and was a fast going third. Minos ran a good race and finished fast. Carthage was forced back in the middle running and coming with a rush at the end. Miss Mazzoni ran for-vwirdly throughout and appeared promising In the stretch, but failed to get up in a game effort. Servile i::n disappointingly. Cedersfrome was prominent early, but fell -back in the middle running, then came on again and gamely outstayed Topsy Robinson for second place. The latter secured an early lead and made the running to midway of the homestretch, but tired in the final furlong of a good race. Request finished well. Cloisteress followed Topsy Robinson closely to the stretch and tired under a weak ride. Lady Savov ran fairlv well. Kemp Ridgeley was speedy and ran well to the stretch, but tired iu the final drive. Wardine loomed up on the last turn, then quit badly and can do letter. Sweet Fern showed early speed. The latter was prominent throughout, but tired in the stretch drive and ran fat? belo.w his recent pood form. Mcllvain made up ground and finished well. St. Joseph and Granada showed speed and were prominent to the stretch, then quit badly and both can do better. Brancas and Loft were outpaced throughout. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
