Ren Ban was luckily and forwardly placed from the start and. responding well to punishment in the last furlong, won out in a fast and game race. Aails had a very rough journey for five furlongs and just failed to get up in a cyclonic finish. AVelboiirne was off poorly and unlucky, finished with a belated rush and would baA-e won if off well. Bat Masterson ran a good race, but was tiring at the end. J. C. Core ran in close quarters from a tlatfooted start and was casing up at the finish. AV. II. Daniel is still short. Berwick showed brilliant early speed, but is said to be thick-winded. Oxford ran Avell. Fancy Bird was luckily and forwardly placed throughout and, in a close lit. got up to win in the last stride. DArkle came from far back in the stretch with a great rush. Sir Toddingtou ran well, but was never fully extended and an inexperienced rider threw a race away that his mount could have Avon easily. Mark Antony II. set a fast pace from the start and held on resolutely in the final drive. Robador steadily c losed a jig gap from a poor send-off. Beggar Maid ran a good three-quarters. Won easily; second and third driving, r.rn Fleet moved into the lead quickly and, under mild restraint, set the pace to the homestretch, where he drew away with a rush and finally won eased up. Fultonville showed much improvement, ran in closest pursuit of the winner, gamely outstayed Monopolist for second place and may be a coming good one. The l.tter was shullled back early, then closed a big gap aud finished with a rush. Heknows loomed up midway of the stretch and tired in the hist sixteenth. Sungleam ran well. Running Water was lucky and skillfully ridden, was greatly benefited by. the tremendous early pace set by Dandelion and Dr. Gardner, came with a grand flight of speed through the stretch and won drawing away. Dandelion was excessively urged in the early running and succumbed finally, but ran a grand race and is at his best. Cairngorm was outpaced early and went wide on the last turn, losing so much ground that lie could not get up, but finished like a shot. Dr. Gardner passed Dandelion on the first turn and set a terrific pace to the final furlong, then tired, but held on gamely. Far AVest ran a fast inileaiid retired. Gailavant was outpaced always. In good form and skillfully ridden, finished gamely under punishment and got up to win in lie laststride. Missouri Lad was badly ridden throughout, taken up unnecessarily on the last turn and failed to get up in a close finish, but Avas much the best today. Good Luck was shullled to the rear at tiie start and closed up gradually, was then carried out on the last turn, but finished fast and close up and shouid do soon. Alaxnar was prominent most of the way. but tired. Lancastrian showed improvement. Lane AUon showed surprising speed and will do to watch. AVeirdsome was practically left at the post. Howard Shean. suddenly improved, closed a big gap from a poor start and finished fast. Ramrod also ran in improved form and put up a good race. Bromina finished with a belated rush. Aervane ran well to the stretch and retired. Tiro can do better. Cork Hill seemed unable to raise a respectable gallop. Puritan Girl showed early speed.
