Sam Rice got off poorly and trailed in the rear to the stretch, then came on with a tremendous rush, won going away and may be a useful horse. Muck Rake ran into the lead at once and set the pace to the final furlong before giving way, then held on gamely for second place. Wise Hand closed tin immense gap and appeared dangerous in the stretch, but tired in the final furlong. Jobstown did his best. Esteban finished fairly well. Memphis Jr. and Willdo showed speed, but failed to stay. Nauona was close up at the head of the stretch, but quit In the final drive. Scratched 70154 Potent, 101. Hollow was saved in the early running and finished fast, but could never get to the winner. Lavatrina ran forwardly from the start and was an easy going third. Eleanor Kay showed speed, but tired in the stretch drive. Berrymau ran fairly well. Silver Cup displayed speed briefly. The others were always outpaced. Scratched 7051S Virginia Maid, 101. Royal Onyx ran consistently, was in nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and finished a game and fast going second. Zelina ran in greatly improved form and gamely outstayed Belle Stroine for third place. The latter closed a big gap, finished fast and 1 tears valehing. Hester Zorra showed the most early speed and set a fast pace to the stretch, but failed to stay. Ada . AAalker ran a poor race, quit as if short and can do much better.
