CHARLES EDWARDS ENGAGEMENTS. It is anomalous that such a high class colt as Charles Edward has no stake engagements at such an important meeting as that to begin shortly at Sheepshead Bay. Yet such Is the case. If Charles Edward runs there it will be in overnight purse races. By what strange oversight this was brought about has not been made public. It seems the more Deculiar from the fact that lie has been well engaged in the stakes to be run at the fall meetings at Gravescnd and Belmont Park. At Gravesend Charles Edward is In the First Special, Second Special, Oriental Handicap, Occidental Handicap and Oceanview Handicap. At Belmont Park lie is nominated to the Itumapo Handicap, Jerome Handicap, Municipal Handicap and Belmont Park Autumn Weight for Age Itace. Quite sulbeient to keep him busy through the last half of September and first half of October.
