Mark Antony II. broke slowly, but soon forged to the front and appeared like spreadeagling the ethers iu the middle running, then finished tiring and was lucky to win. Security, taken back and messed about for the first half, finished with a fast, but belated, rush and probably was best. Ed Ball was outpaced and in the rear to the last turn, but closed up into a fust going third. East End is Improving and showed speed and stamina. Sister Frances, away poorly, closed a big early gap, but ran a comparatively bad race: The winner was entered for ,000: no bid. AAon driving; second the same. Kernel trailed for a mile and a half, fenced badly and blundered and lost ground at every obstacle, but got up finally and outstayed Maximilian at the end. The latter made the running for a mile, held on remarkably well throughout and is greatly Improved. Lights Out rail prominently for half the jouniey and quit, as usual, fell and was remounted, and finished third finally. John M. Keep Moving, on the inside -in close quarters, was shuttled back and came through on the inside in the deep stretch going into a fast going second. Anlaens, from a llatfooted inside start, was shuffled back and closed an immense gap on the extreme outside, running si grand race. Banvah was a prominent contender throughout. Miss Delaney was prominent in the last sixteenth, but tired linally. Kara Avis linished fast. Johnnie Blako was prominent early and tired as if short. Rye, on the Inside and gradually shuttled back to last place, closed an immense gap in the last half on the extreme outside, but could not get up. Right Royal bloke slowly, but steadily improved his position into a fast going third. Missouri Lad loomed up menacingly on the last turn, but suceumlfed in the closing drive. Dreamer was securely pocketed throughout, had a verv rough journey and no chance at any stage. Zienap was speedy, but tired linally. Ampedo closed a gap. Baroda drew out quickly, held sway to the end and won with plenty left. St. llario got into prompt pursuit of the winner from the start and was a fast going and game second. Miss Catesby, badly ridden and nearly left.- closed an immense, gap, was easily second best and ran a cracking race. Ariel closed up rapidly and appeared a sure third in the stretch, but succumbed in the last stride. Gold Quartz steadily improved his position in the last half. Glorious Betsy, nearly left, made up much ground. Task Master was -irluallv left. Goldquest was crowded back. .Scratched 70C203C. J. Cairngorm, after being reserved within striking distance, closed up moderately well when called upon in the last quarter but was waited with a long time before making his move and was really never dangerous. Main Chance maintained nearest pursuit of the leader for the first mile and then tired slightly. Dick Finnell had no chance with the slow early pace and was unequal to sprinting with the others through the last three furlongs.
