HORSES FOR NORFOLK ARE SCARCE. Cincinnati, O., August 27. Secretary Sheridan Clark of the Jamestown Jockey Club has wired to Latonia that the club will pay express charged on horses shipped from hero to Norfolk for the meeting which is to open September 2. W. L. Dickson, agent of the Adams Express Company, lias also received orders to take all shipments made to the new course. ONeills, Egans and Fitzgeralds horses, which have been resting up at Latonia. were shipped to Norfolk last week, and with this offer of the management to pay shipping more are sure to follow.
