. , , HILDRETHS HORSES IN FRISCO. . Oakland, Cal., October 25. S. C. HUdretlis j horses arrived from Xew York today. The ten j horses in the car were Rapid Water, Uncle, Veil, j Montgomery, Tony Faust, Meeliek, Gene Russell and two other two-year-olds and trainer John Lowe says they stood the trans-continental trip in good shape. With the yearlings and older horses which . were already here, this makes the Hildreth stable , now number forty-one head, including the driving horse which Hildreth bought in Xew York and shipped here with the others. The arrival of Uncle has created a lot of talk , among owners of horses likely to start in races with Ilildreths colt as to what effect the entry of the 0,000 beauty will have on the size of the fields to go to the post. "Dont fear anything like that," says A. F. Dayton, owner of Neva Lee, "a horse with a great reputation may frighten the others out in the east, but it is different here. Oakland owners are always willing to take a chance, no matter what horses are to go."
