CHERRY BUTTONS PRODUCE. Dr. David Bennett of Lexington, Ky., reports his richly bred eleven-year-old broodmare, Cherry Button, by Cherry Ripe Makesure, by General Peel, which was brought to this country two years ago by Douglas II. Grand, to be in foal again to Handsel. Cherry Button now has a weanling by Handsel at her side, which has all the promise of becoming a splendid yearling, and this fact caused Dr. Bennett to send Cherry Button back to the court of the son of Hanover. The first foal of Cherry Button is J. C. Milams two-year-old chestnut colt, R. C. Rami, by the British sire, Lactan-tius.
