Lackfoot, from a striding start, ran in forward contention to midway of the stretch and, after being nearly put over the fence by Nick Stoner, pulled up, then came around and got up in the last stride. Nick Stoner moved up rapidly on the far turn and ranged alongside the favorite and, after swerving across him, succumbed In the last stride. Souibro, showing big improvement, ran in forward pursuit throughout and is very promising. Reene W.. shut off early, improved her position steadily and will do soon. Captain Burnett, from a striding inside start, was luckily and forwardly placed and made good decisively finally. E. M. Brattain drew out and set the pace to the stretch, where he was headed and beaten, but got up for second place in tiie last stride. Koenigiu Luise ran lapped on the pacemaker to the stretch, then came away, but finished easing up near the end and lost second place by it. Elba finished well. Seasick showed speed for live furlongs and quit as if short. Whiskers got away slowly. Belle Kinney loomed up rapidly on the last turn, but bolted in the stretch. Fisher Boy, nearly left, steadily improved his position on the extreme outside, but failed to get up after an extra good race. Etapa, crowded back at the half, held his own and ran a good race. Kermit. drew out and made the running to the stretch, then quit unexpectedly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
