Aim, lucky at the start and clear of interference, forced a fast pace from the start, stood a hard drive gamely in the last furlong and outstayed Task Master. The latter rah a good. race and but for being taken wide in the stretch Would have won. Night Mist gained gradually, closed a big gap in the race through the stretch and will improve. Donaldo showed superior speed for a half before tiring. Sundart showed improvement and will probably win before long. Anna Sanders tired after running forwardly to the final furlong. Floridaglen was away too poorly to be a serious factor. Sweetener ran below his best form. Client and Beautiful Knight were practically left at the post. Overweights Night Mist, 1 pounds. No Quarter, away slowly and going wide most of the way, finished fast and gamely and, wearing down Artful Dodger in the closing strides, won drawing away. Artful Dodger set a fast pace and, after appearing a certain winner in the stretch, tired as if short. Lucy Young had a rough trip and ran a good race. Miss Affable had to go around the others and finished gamely under poor riding. Lightning Conductor showed speed, but tired near the end. Hughes ran into contention in the first half and quit in the stretch. Ralbcrt disliked the hard track and will show improvement in mud. Sheen was speedy, but was shuttled back after going a half. Neptune was badly ridden. Javanese can do better. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Savoir Falre, under hard restraint in the early stages, quit in the stretch when called on, but was best of the others. Fonsoluca ran fairly well. Daring showed superior speed for three-quarters.
