Gorgalete beat the barrier, but was quickly displaced, ran well up for seven furlongs and tired finally. All Ablaze, outrun to the stretch, finished well. Colonel White, away tlatfooted, closed a big gap in the middle running, but went wide on the stretch turn and failed to get up in a cyclonic stretch rush. Mary F., from a striding start, was in forward contention in the early running, but lost ground on the last turn and finished tiring and swerving. AVoolma showed early speed from a flying start and dropped back at the half, but held his own in the closing drive and was short. Joe Coyne was practically left. Agnolo ran prominently for six furlongs and tired. The Englishman, shut off early, dropped to the rear and held on moderately well, but was short and his race is to be thrown out.
