La Rose, from a lucky start, ran in close pursuit of the leaders, drew out decisively in the stretch m won off. Rosy Light, luckily and forwardly placed throughout, was a fast going second. Dr. Sherma outbroke and outpaced the others to the stretch, where he quit and finished swerving to the inside b.id going. Ethel Abbott, away very badly, closed a tremendous gap in a superior effort. Kuinita was Bainin0 at the end. Elba showed earlv speed, but tired badly. The winner was entered for 400; no bid. Byronerdale, suddenly improved, leisurely made the running throughout, increased his advantage as the race progressed and won off. Graphite maintained nearest pursuit of the winner after going th-first half, but could nevtr get up nor seriously menace him. Iras trailed for half the journey find gained rapidly in the last half. King of Mist ran all over the course from the start, retired precipitately at the half and acted very queerly. Tetanus ran prominently for a mile and quit. Nappa, luckily and forwardly placed, showed speed, but tired finally and finished swerving sharply to the inside. Big Store improved his position throughout and finished fast. Bantam, showing superior early speed, appeared promising on the last turn, but tired unexpectedly. L. C. Ackerley, away poorly, made up ground slowly. Duke of Orleans, shnlHed to the rear at the start, could never get up afterwards. Red Leaf ran forwaraly from the start and established a brief lead on the last turn, gave way readily to Clamor in the stretch, but was easily best of the others. Rubric, hard held, made -the running for seven furlongs and tired, bui. was a game third. Wing Ting, a keen contender for nearly a mile, tired finally. Jacomo held forth In ji rear position for half the journey, but was gaining at the end. Gleneeho showed superior speed for seven furlongs and tired.
